Living Well’s 2026 Walk Across Texas! Recap

Living Well teamed up with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension for the annual Walk Across Texas! program, an eight-week challenge designed to make staying active fun, motivating, and community-driven.

Open to participants of all ages and ability levels, the program brought teams together to work toward a shared mileage goal while building healthy movement habits along the way. Teams were required to include at least four members from the same department to be eligible for the competition. This year’s theme, Miles, Music & Mardi Gras, added an extra boost of energy and excitement throughout the challenge.

Across campus, participants laced up and logged miles throughout the program. And the results spoke for themselves — Living Well’s league crushed it with a grand total of 94,125 miles!

Living Well extends appreciation to all participants for their engagement and commitment  throughout the program and looks forward to continuing to promote opportunities that support health and well-being across the campus community — we can’t wait to see what next year brings!
