Spend some time in the great outdoors at Living Well’s annual Outdoor Adventure Day (OAD) at Millican Reserve! This event is sure to be a mood booster to all who attend. Enjoy the sunshine that naturally increases serotonin, have a new experience that gives a dose of dopamine, and let your movement throughout the event produce endorphins.
Beat the heat at Millican Reserve with your family, friends, significant other, or leashed dog! Enjoy exclusive access to the property’s beautiful grounds and a plethora of activities including sunrise yoga, kids’ yoga, stand-up paddleboarding, solo and tandem kayaking, three guided nature hike options, angler education and fishing, kids’ activities, and yard games. Indulge in tasty food and beverage available for purchase from onsite food trucks (WalkOffs Snack Shack (lemonade), Raging Bull Tacos, Good to Geaux (Cajun), and Three Sweet Pops popsicles). Please be mindful of the heat and bring water bottles, sunscreen, lawn chairs, and picnic food.

Location: Millican Reserve 19851 FM 2154, College Station, TX 77845
Directions to Millican Reserve: Head south on FM 2154 (Wellborn Road) toward Millican. From the light at Wellborn Road and Greens Prairie Trail, Millican is located 4.2 miles south on the left. A blackboard fence and barn will be in view when you turn into the drive. The driveway has a metal arch over it and a small sign that says “Farm Entrance.”

Please register directly through the Living Well app (search Living Well Texas AM in the App Store or Google Play) or the Living Well web interface. If you are bringing youth (18 or under), you MUST complete this form.
Schedule of Events:
- 7:30–8:30 a.m.: Sunrise Yoga (The Grove)
- 8:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.: Water Activities (kayaking and standup paddle boarding – The Grove)
- 8:30–9:30 a.m.: Angler Education and Fishing (meet at fire pit in Boathouse Lawn)
- 9–9:30 a.m.: First Guided Nature Hike (meet in Boathouse Lawn)
- 9–9:45 a.m.: Kids’ Yoga (Boathouse Lawn)
- 9:45–10:45 a.m.: Angler Education and Fishing (meet at fire pit in Boathouse Lawn)
- 10 a.m.–1 p.m.: Kids’ Activities (The Boathouse and The Grove Lawn)
- 10–10:30 a.m.: Second Guided Nature Hike (meet in Boathouse Lawn)
- 11 a.m.–12 p.m.: Angler Education and Fishing (meet at fire pit in Boathouse Lawn)
- 11a.m.–12 p.m.: Third Guided Nature Hike Session (meet in Boathouse Lawn)
- 1 p.m.: End of Activities
Sign-up sheets for yoga, fishing, and hikes available upon check-in. First come, first served.
Important Reminders:
- Please bring your own yoga mats. Beach towels also work great!
- No outside watercrafts allowed.
- All equipment supplied for angler education and fishing (catch and release fishing is only allowed at Millican for this event).
- Leashed dogs are allowed. Please bring waste bags and clean up after your dogs.
- Get ready for your visit to Millican by taking a virtual tour of The Farm at Millican Reserve and see where they cultivate the crops:
Parking Information: All parking will be down the gravel road in an open field near The Boathouse. Parking is limited, and be mindful that the Reserve will be a long, gravel drive to the open fields. Please drive slowly and be aware of other vehicles coming and going on the same path.
